Welcome

Hello to all you lucky oxygen breathing souls reading this post on my new blog. Actually, you probably aren’t lucky, but I hope you breathe oxygen and have a soul. I am the lucky one to have you reading my absolutely incredible introduction to an even more absolutely incredible site (I think so at least). In all seriousness I want to thank you for reading, sharing, and spreading the word about this place to share knowledge, stats, stories, and more.

I am Robb Lockamyeir, a 20 year old, Canisius College Psychology student with a passion for the New York Rangers and fantasy football. A New York Knicks and Chicago Bears fan (Da Bears!). An addict of the Dave Matthews Band. A proud son, brother, friend, and boyfriend. An easy going, laid back guy who just loves sports. I aspire to be successful like my favorite ESPN columnists/writers/anchors what have you, like Matthew Berry, Rick Reilly, and John Buccigross. I guess this is my first step. If you are still reading, I sincerely thank you. And if you share this page, you win a prize! Sorry, maybe someday, but I thank you double if you support my page and spread the word about it.

To let you guys all know why I had the idea to start a page like this, I have to first tell you that it was not my idea, it was my girlfriend’s. And like a good boyfriend does, I listened to her, just like I listen to every other request of hers. Although she may regret the words that slipped out of her mouth, “You should start a blog,” I am happy that she gave me this idea. Not even because it might be my first step towards a career in this, but because it is fun to do. For right now, I will just see this as a hobby, and if it turns into something more, awesome! I want to let you all know that I will put 100 % effort into every word that you read. I hope it satisfies your interests.

So, now that you know all of that, what exactly am I going to write about? The answer for the most part is fantasy football. Every week I will put my input on this page about the previous and upcoming week in the world of fantasy football. If you are like me and love to win, lose, laugh, and maybe cry (just kidding... okay maybe not) when you play this amazing game, stick along for the ride this season. If you look forward all offseason to Matthew Berry’s Draft Day Manifesto, which symbolizes that fantasy football season is finally back, then I am sure you will enjoy this place. If fantasy football draft day is circled on your calendar with stars and arrows pointing to it, then I hope you join me here this season.

Listen, I do not know if my content will be interesting enough to keep you reading, but I hope it does. I love fantasy football and instead of annoying my roommates and girlfriend with venting, I can put it all on here for all of you who actually share my interest and truly care. I am also a huge hockey fan, so I will occasionally post some “extras” on hockey as well as some other major events that happen in the sporting world. But for the most part, fantasy football is going to take over your brain when you read my stuff, and will be the reason why you come back.

In a few weeks, I will post again, but this time you won’t have to fight through the dry, boring stuff about me. We can get right to business and show you how and who to draft for the upcoming season. I don’t want to copy Matthew Berry’s Draft Day Manifesto that I look forward to with such great anticipation (I think I check for it every day), but it will be kind of my own manifesto. I’ll have to think of a cool name for it.

So that’s me, and that is what this is all about. My unconditional love for fantasy football and other sports expresses to you lucky readers (maybe you are lucky after all). I am looking forward to the next time I get to share my knowledge with you. I am looking forward to giving you something interesting to read and talk about. And I am looking forward to helping you win your fantasy league, whether it be for the first time, back to back times, or the 17th time. I will be posting all my links on twitter so if you are interested in knowing when the greatness will be unveiled, follow me on twitter @rlocks24. If you have any questions or have any suggestions for me, I am more than willing to listen and you can email me at robblockamyeir@yahoo.com. Thank you again, have a good one, and don’t miss me too much.

Life is boring without fantasy.

‘Till next time,
Robb Lockamyeir
